Kasap fermente sucuk is the butcher-style member of the sucuk family: a firm, fermented sausage seasoned with traditional Turkish spices. The pack from Koç Vleeswaren describes it as a classic, fully spiced Turkish sausage ('Tüm Baharatlı Klasik Türk Sucuğu'); it comes as a 400 g ring on a sealed tray and carries a halal logo on the front.
It belongs in the pan. Cut it into thin rounds, fry them in their own fat until the edges crisp, and serve with eggs for sucuklu yumurta, which is the centrepiece of many Turkish breakfasts. The same slices go into a toasted sandwich (sucuklu tost), over pide or flatbread dough, or into a pot of white beans. A few pieces are enough to flavour a whole dish.
The pack is marked for storage between +2 °C and +7 °C, so keep it in the fridge. After opening, wrap the sausage well and use it within a few days, following the dates printed on the tray.
