The freezer earns its place from the first cold week of autumn onwards. When the evenings shorten and nobody wants to start rolling dough at seven o'clock, a bag of manti or a tray of poğaça is the difference between a proper Turkish dinner and a compromise. This section is stocked for exactly that: winter comfort food, Ramadan mornings, and the school-run weeks when cooking time disappears.
Manti, pastry and the bakery freezer
There are over 30 products here, split between ready dough and finished bakery. For manti, SuperFresh 450gr Turkish Ravioli is the classic Kayseri size, while Ikra 700gr Minced Beef Manti, the 600g mini kıymalı manti and Ikra Minced Beef Bolu Manti 600g give you larger family portions and a coarser Bolu style. On the dough side, Maun 750g 6 Pcs Pastry Sheets are the standard yufka for börek, and Maun 1000gr Milfoy is ready rolled puff for pastries and sweet bakes. The bakery freezer holds Maun 550gr 5 Pcs Turkish Sesame Ring Simit, Turkish Baton Bagel, plain buns and Maun 600gr 8 Pcs Cooked Bun With Cheese, plus Ikra 50gr 12 Pcs traditional içli köfte for a starter or a light supper. Oz Yufka and Yayla round out the range. Prices start from under £3.
From freezer to table
Keep everything at minus eighteen and do not refreeze anything that has thawed. Manti goes straight from frozen into boiling salted water, so there is no planning needed; yufka and milfoy are the opposite and need a slow thaw in the fridge, otherwise the sheets tear when you unfold them. Simit, poğaça and buns reheat best in a hot oven for a few minutes rather than a microwave, which softens the crust. Portion a large manti bag into meal-sized amounts before freezing the remainder if the pack is bigger than one dinner.
Delivery of frozen and chilled items
Frozen lines are packed with ice gel packs and insulation, and travel with DHL Express for delivery across the UK in one to two business days. Orders of £60 or more are delivered free to London and mainland UK; a flat £5.99 applies below that. Unpack and freeze on arrival.
Frozen Products — frequently asked questions
What is the dispatch cutoff for frozen orders?›
Orders placed before 12:00 Monday to Friday are typically dispatched the same day. Ordering early in the week gives the shortest journey time for frozen goods, since a parcel leaving on a Monday or Tuesday completes its one to two business day DHL Express transit without a weekend in between.
Can I return frozen or chilled products?›
Returns are accepted for unopened non-perishable items only. Frozen, chilled and other perishable goods cannot be returned for food safety reasons. If something arrives damaged or in poor condition, contact us by email or WhatsApp with photographs on the day of delivery and we will put it right.
Do you deliver frozen food to Northern Ireland and the Scottish islands?›
Northern Ireland, the Scottish Highlands and Islands, the Isle of Wight and other UK islands are charged on a weight basis, and the free delivery threshold does not apply to these destinations. The rate for your address is calculated from the basket weight at checkout.
How is frozen food kept cold in transit?›
Frozen items are packed with ice gel packs and insulating material sized for the journey, then sent with DHL Express so the transit stays within one to two business days. Open the box as soon as it arrives and move everything into the freezer without delay.
Will my whole order arrive together?›
Yes, frozen, chilled and ambient items are packed into the same shipment, with the temperature sensitive goods insulated inside. You receive one DHL tracking number by email on dispatch and one delivery, which keeps the frozen items in transit for the shortest possible time.
