Popular Classic Turkish Table Games delivered to Huddersfield
Wherever Turkish, Cypriot and wider Mediterranean households have settled across the UK, a backgammon board or a set of okey tiles is rarely far from the living room table, and Huddersfield is no exception when it comes to keeping that tradition going.
What's Available in Classic Turkish Table Games
The range includes wooden backgammon sets in several finishes, from a walnut grade-A board to antique and mother-of-pearl inlay designs, alongside Eser's traditional wooden okey set and Waddingtons number 1 playing cards. A classic design backgammon set and an antique-style board give a choice between a simple everyday set and a more decorative option for display or gifting.
Delivery to Huddersfield
DHL Express delivers these items to HD postcodes across Huddersfield, along with Leeds, Wakefield and Harrogate nearby, typically within 1-2 business days. Orders of £60 or more qualify for free delivery, while smaller orders carry a flat £5.99 charge. As non-perishable goods, backgammon sets and okey tiles travel in standard packaging, and weekday orders placed before 12:00 are usually dispatched the same day, with a DHL tracking number emailed once the parcel is on its way.
Playing Backgammon and Okey at Home
Backgammon and okey are typically played by two to four people and are a fixture of family gatherings, evening visits and community get-togethers, often alongside tea and a plate of snacks. A wooden backgammon set doubles as a lasting household item rather than something bought once and put away, and a mother-of-pearl or antique-style board is often chosen as a gift for a family member setting up a new home. For Huddersfield households wanting to keep the tradition alive, ordering a set online is a simple way to bring it into the house without searching for a specialist shop.
