Dry, flaky and scurfy skin can make your pet itchy and can get worse at certain times of the year. There can be multiple causes, including a defective moisture barrier, that when functioning normally helps to retain moisture in the skin, dehydration or allergies. Feeding your pet a moist diet and ensuring they always have access to water, together with regular grooming can help, but it can also be beneficial to supplement your pet with essential fatty acids (EFAs) to promote skin and coat condition. Our Evening Primrose Oil Liquid provides an easy way to give this supplement and is perfect for smaller dogs or cats (and even those bigger dogs who refuse tablets/capsules – we all know one!). Both products contain 10% GLA but the liquid allows for the correct amount to be given to smaller pets. With no odour or taste, the liquid can simply be added to food, given directly into the mouth or dropped onto to nose to be licked off for showstopping shine!
