Chilled items & warm-weather notice

We ship chilled (perishable) foods with ice-gel packs, kept refrigerated. Description

SPECIFIC CPD-S Puppy Small Breed is a complete dry food specially formulated for the growth of small breed puppies (under 10kg adult weight), as well as for pregnancy, lactation, anorexia and recovery in all breeds. With increased levels of energy, protein, vitamins and minerals to meet the requirements of growing small breed puppies and support normal skeleton development, it also contains DHA for brain and vision development, EPA and DHA for healthy joints, skin and coat, beet pulp for intestinal health and psyllium husk fibre for gastrointestinal regulation.

Wheat, Fish Meal, Maize Protein, Pork Fat, Minerals, Animal Protein Hydrolysate, Beet Pulp, Vitamins and Trace Elements (including chelated trace elements), Fish Oil, Egg Powder, Lysine, Psyllium Husk, Methionine, Threonine, Tryptophan, Rosemary Extract. Natural antioxidants (tocopherols and vitamin C). Contains no added artificial colours or flavourings.

Protein 25.6%, Fat 14.3%, Carbohydrate (NFE) 43.7%, Crude Fibre 1.8%, Calcium 0.97g, Phosphorus 0.87g, Sodium 0.26g, Omega-3 Fatty Acids 0.63g, EPA 0.18g, DHA 0.20g, Moisture 8.5%. Metabolisable Energy 1616 kJ/100g.

Feeding guide

Suitable from weaning (5-6 weeks) until puppies have reached 80% of their adult weight. Monitor growth carefully to avoid overfeeding. Daily individual requirements may vary depending on breed, environment, season and activity level.

Growing puppies (expected adult weight in kg / daily amount in grams): 0.5kg — 35g, 1kg — 55g, 1.5kg — 75g, 2kg — 95g, 2.5kg — 115g, 3kg — 130g, 4kg — 160g, 5kg — 190g, 6kg — 220g, 7kg — 210g, 8kg — 230g, 9kg — 250g, 10kg — 270g.

Pregnant and lactating bitches (under 10kg): First two thirds of pregnancy — 55-190g. Last third of pregnancy — 80-260g. Lactation 2 puppies — 80-260g. Lactation 4 puppies — 105-350g. Lactation 8 puppies — 155-520g. During lactation the energy requirement depends on the number of puppies — for 2, 4 and 8 puppies the energy requirement is 1.5, 2 and 3 times that of a normal adult dog respectively.
