Chilled items & warm-weather notice

We ship chilled (perishable) foods with ice-gel packs, kept refrigerated. In warm weather, light oil sweating on cured products such as sucuk/pastırma, or softening of cheese, is normal and not a sign of spoilage — it returns to normal once chilled. Please refrigerate items immediately on delivery and be available to receive your order on the delivery day.

Perishable foods are exempt from the 14-day change-of-mind return; your statutory rights for genuine quality or safety issues remain unaffected.

Description

Rosemary, called biberiye in Turkish, is a woody evergreen herb of the Mediterranean region. Its narrow, needle-like leaves have a resinous, slightly camphor-like scent and a warm, faintly bitter taste that holds up well to long cooking. This Bodrum pouch holds the leaves dried, and the pack states 100% natural with no artificial colours or additives, with a tear-and-reseal closure.

Dried rosemary suits slow oven dishes such as roast lamb and chicken, potatoes baked with olive oil and garlic, tomato-based stews and dried bean dishes, as well as grilled fish. Rub the needles between your palms or crush them lightly before use to release their oils, and add them early in cooking so they soften in the heat. A small pinch mixed with olive oil, lemon juice and garlic makes a simple marinade, and warming a little in olive oil gives a fragrant oil for dipping bread or drizzling over vegetables. The flavour is strong, so start sparingly.

Close the pouch after use and keep it in a cool, dry place away from sunlight and steam. Check the pack for the best-before date.
