Description

Pidemiss Mushroom and Mozzarella Pide from Aktaşlar is a frozen, pre-baked, boat-shaped Turkish pide, sold as three 150 g pieces. According to the manufacturer, the topping is mozzarella (23%) and mushrooms (10%) with onion, tomato, peppers and herbs on a wheat-flour dough, and the recipe also contains egg and sugar. The pack says the pide is ready in five minutes.

The manufacturer's suggested method is to heat the oven to 250 °C with the baking tray inside, place the pide on the hot tray straight from frozen without thawing, and bake it on the middle shelf for 5–6 minutes. Always follow the instructions on your pack. Because the pide is only pre-baked, it must not be eaten without cooking. For a Turkish-style lunch, serve it with ayran, a tomato and cucumber salad and a sprinkle of red pepper flakes; cut into slices, it also makes an easy snack for a group.
