Chilled items & warm-weather notice

We ship chilled (perishable) foods with ice-gel packs, kept refrigerated. In warm weather, light oil sweating on cured products such as sucuk/pastırma, or softening of cheese, is normal and not a sign of spoilage — it returns to normal once chilled. Please refrigerate items immediately on delivery and be available to receive your order on the delivery day.

Perishable foods are exempt from the 14-day change-of-mind return; your statutory rights for genuine quality or safety issues remain unaffected.

Description

Ali Baba Plain Turkish Delight, or sade lokum, is the simplest form of this traditional sweet and the one all other varieties are built on. Lokum is made from sugar, starch and water cooked into a soft gel, and the plain style lets that clean, sweet taste and chewy texture speak for itself, without fruit flavours or nut pieces to compete.

It is the natural partner to a small cup of strong Turkish coffee or a glass of black tea, and in Turkish homes it is often offered on a small plate when guests arrive. You can also serve it with afternoon tea, add a few pieces to a mixed dessert platter, or cut it into tiny cubes to stir through a dessert or scatter over ice cream.

Keep the box closed and store it in a cool, dry place away from moisture and direct sunlight so the pieces stay soft and do not stick together. Please read the pack label for the full ingredient and allergen details.
