Description

Maun Roll Börek Mini Rolls with Spinach are small, finger-sized rolls of thin, layered pastry wrapped around a savoury green filling, sold frozen in a 700 g tray of 14 pieces. Maun's own product listing shows this exact tray under the name Ispanaklı Peynirli Mini Roll and gives the filling as spinach (10%) and cheese (8%) with onion and red pepper. Even though the front of the pack mentions only spinach, expect a gentle spinach-and-cheese flavour. The tray carries a halal mark and states in German that the product contains no trans fat.

In Turkish homes börek belongs on the breakfast table, at tea time with guests, in lunch boxes and on festive buffets.
