Fresh Frost Kasap Köfte (Kasap Meatballs, Polpette di Macellaio) is a 660 g box of 12 frozen, flat, butcher-style meatball patties, about 55 g each on average. The name means "butcher's köfte", after the köfte served in Turkish butcher shops and grill houses. A halal logo is printed on the box, and keeping a box in the freezer makes quick family dinners easy.
The pack photo shows the classic serving: grilled köfte on lavash beside a reddish bulgur pilav, a long green pepper and sumac-dressed red onions. You can follow that idea at home, tuck the patties into a bread roll with tomato and pickled pepper, or serve them with fries and a green salad.
Keep the box frozen until you cook. The pack says keep frozen and cook thoroughly, so make sure the patties are cooked right through, and do not refreeze them after thawing.
