Burcu Zeytinyağlı Enginar (Artichoke with Vegetables) is a ready-made Turkish olive-oil dish of artichoke cooked with vegetables, packed in a 200 g aluminium tray. Alongside the name, the pack carries the phrases 'Isıt-ye, 3 dakikada hazır' (heat and eat, ready in 3 minutes) and 'Koruyucu içermez' (contains no preservatives), and the serving picture shows artichoke pieces with carrot, potato, peas and fresh herbs.
Zeytinyağlı dishes are a cornerstone of Aegean and Turkish home cooking and are usually eaten at room temperature or slightly chilled as a meze or light starter, with a squeeze of lemon and fresh bread. This tray can also be warmed through in a few minutes, as the pack suggests. Serve it beside grilled fish, bulgur pilaf or white cheese, or set it on a meze table with haydari and a fresh salad.
Keep the unopened tray in a cool, dry place and follow the storage and expiry information printed on the pack. Once opened, move any leftovers to a covered container and keep them in the fridge.
