Description

Biskrem Extra is Ülker's bigger take on its classic Biskrem, and the pack sums it up in three phrases: extra big, extra cream, extra cocoa. Each round cocoa biscuit has a criss-cross pattern on top and a cocoa cream filling inside, as the broken biscuit pictured on the wrapper shows. The ingredient list includes reduced-fat cocoa powder (7%) and hazelnut puree, and the 184g pack holds enough biscuits to share around the table.

Biskrem is a familiar snack in Turkish homes, eaten with a glass of cold milk, with afternoon tea or from a lunch box. It also works as a shortcut for desserts: crush a few biscuits and layer them with milk pudding or whipped cream for a quick no-bake biscuit cake, or press the crumbs into the base of a chilled cheesecake. A small cup of Turkish coffee balances the sweetness of the cream well.
