Description

Topkek Orange is a soft, golden sponge cake from Eti with a bright orange sauce running through the centre. It is sold as a single 40 g cake in its own wrapper. On the label the cake is about 85% of the recipe and the sauce about 15%, and the sauce is made with 22.6% orange puree; the sponge itself also contains a little orange peel puree, which gives a fresh citrus note.

A cake like this is made for the Turkish tea break: unwrap it next to a glass of black çay, take it to the office for a mid-morning snack, or put one in the lunchbox as a sweet surprise. Because every cake is wrapped separately it stays soft and is easy to share around the table.
