Chilled items & warm-weather notice
We ship chilled (perishable) foods with ice-gel packs, kept refrigerated. In warm weather, light oil sweating on cured products such as sucuk/pastırma, or softening of cheese, is normal and not a sign of spoilage — it returns to normal once chilled. Please refrigerate items immediately on delivery and be available to receive your order on the delivery day.
Perishable foods are exempt from the 14-day change-of-mind return; your statutory rights for genuine quality or safety issues remain unaffected.
Bodrum Hot Peppers are long, slim hot peppers pickled in water, vinegar and salt with a little natural garlic flavouring. This is the larger family jar: 630 g net, of which 320 g is drained peppers, and the label states that peppers make up 51% of the contents. It also carries the vegan and gluten-free badges.
Pickled hot peppers are a standard companion to Turkish grills. Put a few on the plate next to köfte, chicken skewers or lahmacun, serve them with kuru fasulye and rice, or lay them in a sandwich with white cheese and tomato. For a milder bite, slice them thinly and mix them into a salad or a garlicky yoghurt dip; for more heat, eat them whole. The tangy brine works as a quick seasoning for beans and lentil dishes.
Keep the unopened jar in a cool, dry place away from heat and direct sunlight. After opening, refrigerate it and consume within one week.
