Atlas Sicily is one of the marinated olive jars in the Atlas range, a glass jar filled with 850 g of olives. In the pack photo a layer of dried herbs rests on top of the marinade, and below it you can make out green olives, darker olives with their centres removed in places, and a few pieces of garlic.
This is a good jar for entertaining. Set a bowl on the table with bread, white cheese and sliced tomatoes for a relaxed breakfast, or turn it into an antipasti-style board with cured meats, roasted peppers and focaccia. The olives also chop well for bruschetta toppings, pizza, pasta sauces and rice dishes, and a spoonful of the herby marinade can lift a simple salad dressing.
Keep the unopened jar in a cool, dark cupboard. Once opened, store it in the fridge with the olives covered by their marinade, lift them out with a clean spoon and follow the storage instructions printed on the jar.
