Koska Fındık Püreli Tahin Pekmez blends tahini (sesame paste), grape molasses and hazelnut purée into one smooth, dark spread. On the label the three ingredients are listed at roughly 53% grape molasses, 35% tahini and 12% hazelnut purée, and the jar carries a “Doğal Lif Kaynağı” (natural source of fibre) badge. Koska has been making halva, tahini and molasses in Türkiye since 1907, and this 320 g jar is a hazelnut take on the tahin-pekmez pairing that many Turkish households keep on the breakfast table.
Spread it thickly on fresh bread, toast or simit, or swirl a spoonful into warm porridge, yoghurt or pancakes. The molasses gives a deep, caramel-like sweetness while the tahini adds a rich sesame flavour and the hazelnut rounds it off, so it also works as a filling for crêpes or a topping for rice pudding. Because it contains sesame and hazelnut, please read the label carefully if anyone at your table has a nut or seed allergy.
Keep the jar in a cool, dry place with the lid tightly closed. Natural oil separation can occur in tahini-based spreads, so a quick stir before serving restores the creamy texture.
