Linden honey, called ıhlamur balı in Turkish, comes from the blossom of linden or lime trees and is one of the best-loved honeys in Turkey and across Europe. It is usually light in colour, with a fresh, slightly minty and woody aroma and a smooth sweetness that is less heavy than many darker honeys. This Bodrum jar offers it as an organic product in a 250 g hexagonal glass jar, and the front label shows the Soil Association organic symbol.
Because linden is also a famous herbal tea in Turkey, many people like to stir this honey into a cup of ıhlamur or other warm drinks, and it is just as pleasant on a breakfast table with butter, kaymak or fresh bread. Drizzle it over yoghurt, porridge or pancakes, spread it on toast with soft cheese, or use it to sweeten dressings, marinades and baked goods where a mild floral honey is wanted.
Keep the jar tightly closed at room temperature and away from heat and direct sunlight. Natural crystallisation is normal; gently warming the jar in warm water will return it to a runny texture. Not suitable for infants under 12 months. Please read the label for the full product information.
