Description

Kashkaval, known in Turkey as kaşar peyniri, is a semi-hard pasta-filata style cheese that is usually made from cow's milk. It has a smooth, sliceable texture and a mild, lightly savoury taste, which is why it is one of the most commonly used cheeses in Turkish homes. This 400 g pack is sold under the Best Farm name.

Its main strength is how well it melts. Slice it for the classic kaşarlı tost, grate it over pide or homemade pizza, fold it into börek and gözleme fillings, or melt it onto an omelette and menemen. Served at room temperature in thin slices alongside olives, tomatoes and fresh bread, it also holds its own on a Turkish breakfast table.
