Description

Adana-style çiğ köfte is the hotter cousin of the Urfa version, with a bolder chilli and pepper-paste character. This Sohbet box holds 340 g of shaped, meat-free bulgur pieces and comes with two sauces, a hot sauce and a pomegranate (nar ekşisi) sauce, and the box is marked 'acılı' (hot) and vegan. The recipe is based on durum wheat bulgur, tomato and pepper products and a blend of spices.

Eat it Turkish style: place a few pieces on crisp lettuce, roll them up in lavash with parsley, spring onion, tomato and a squeeze of lemon, and drizzle over the pomegranate sauce to balance the heat. It also suits a mezze table, a picnic or a light supper next to ayran and a green salad, and it needs no cooking at all.

Keep the box in the fridge (around +2 to +7 °C) and finish it by the date printed on the front of the pack. It is made from durum wheat bulgur, so it contains gluten, and the retailers' ingredient lists also include walnut, so please read the full allergen information on the pack before serving.
