Chilled items & warm-weather notice

We ship chilled (perishable) foods with ice-gel packs, kept refrigerated. In warm weather, light oil sweating on cured products such as sucuk/pastırma, or softening of cheese, is normal and not a sign of spoilage — it returns to normal once chilled. Please refrigerate items immediately on delivery and be available to receive your order on the delivery day.

Perishable foods are exempt from the 14-day change-of-mind return; your statutory rights for genuine quality or safety issues remain unaffected.

Description

Ali Baba Dibek Coffee with Pistachio (Antep Fıstıklı) is a 250 g pack of Turkish dibek coffee. Its name refers to Antep pistachio, the celebrated nut of Gaziantep in south-eastern Türkiye. Dibek coffee takes its name from the dibek, the stone mortar in which coffee beans were traditionally pounded, and it is often described as a softer-tasting alternative to classic Turkish coffee. Pistachio coffee is usually enjoyed for its rounder, nutty character.

Brew it in a cezve, using the coffee and water amounts given on the pack: start with cold water, stir once and heat slowly over low heat. When the foam rises, lift the pot off the heat and pour gently into small cups. It goes well with baklava, kadayıf or a few plain pistachios, and a glass of water on the side is customary.

Let the grounds settle before drinking and leave the last sip in the cup. After opening, close the pack tightly and store it in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. Because the name refers to pistachio, a tree nut, anyone with a nut allergy must read the ingredient and allergen details on the pack before use; many dibek coffee blends also contain milk powder or sugar.
