Bodrum Mild Lombardi Peppers are long, pale yellow-green Lombardi peppers preserved in a brine of water, vinegar and salt, with a little sugar to round off the sourness. They are the mild counterpart to the hot pickled peppers: the label marks them as mild, and also as vegan and gluten free. The jar is glass and the peppers are sold in brine, ready to eat.
Mild pickled peppers are a classic on Turkish tables. Serve them whole beside grilled köfte, chicken or kebabs, add them to a meze platter with olives, white cheese and tomatoes, or slice them into sandwiches, toasts and salads. They are a good choice for family meals where not everyone enjoys chilli, and they also work chopped into a tomato and onion salad or a rice dish.
Store the unopened jar in a cool, dry place away from heat and direct sunlight. After opening, keep it in the fridge and consume within one week.
