Chilled items & warm-weather notice
We ship chilled (perishable) foods with ice-gel packs, kept refrigerated. In warm weather, light oil sweating on cured products such as sucuk/pastırma, or softening of cheese, is normal and not a sign of spoilage — it returns to normal once chilled. Please refrigerate items immediately on delivery and be available to receive your order on the delivery day.
Perishable foods are exempt from the 14-day change-of-mind return; your statutory rights for genuine quality or safety issues remain unaffected.
Savour centuries of tradition with Kurukahveci Mehmet Efendi 100 Gr Turkish Coffee, a true icon now available at Turkish Online Market UK, your Turkish Online Grocery & Food Supermarket UK. Mehmet Efendi is the most famous and trusted name in Turkish coffee, renowned for its finely ground, beautifully aromatic blend that produces the rich foam and deep, full-bodied flavour at the very heart of Turkish coffee culture. Roasted and ground with generations of expertise, it has become a symbol of Turkish hospitality. This handy 100 g pack is perfect for trying it out, gifting, or keeping a fresh supply ready at home.
To prepare classic Turkish coffee, add one heaped teaspoon of Mehmet Efendi coffee per cup of cold water into a cezve (the traditional small pot), along with sugar to taste. Stir gently to combine, then heat slowly over a low flame without rushing. As the coffee warms, a beautiful, velvety foam will rise to the surface; spoon a little into each cup before letting the coffee brew right to the top, then pour carefully and slowly to preserve that prized foam. Serve in small traditional cups with a glass of water and a piece of Turkish delight on the side for the complete, authentic experience.
