Anadolu Lezzetleri, which means flavours of Anatolia, is Muratbey's mixed tray of three traditional cheeses made from pasteurised cow's milk: dil peyniri, a soft cheese that separates easily into flat strips; örgü peyniri, a braided cheese; and tel peyniri, a cheese pulled into fine threads. Muratbey states the products contain no trans fat, sweeteners or gluten, and the official nutrition tables list about 304 to 311 kcal and 19 g protein per 100 g for the three cheeses, with salt ranging from 1.5 g in the dil cheese to 4 g in the braided one.
The idea is variety without the shopping list. Put the whole tray on the breakfast table with tomatoes, cucumbers, olives and fresh bread, and everyone can pick a texture. The threads of tel cheese suit omelettes, pasta and salads, while the milder dil strips are popular in toast and with children. The braided cheese is pleasant simply pulled apart by hand, or warmed briefly in a pan until soft.
Store the tray refrigerated at +2 to +4 °C in its original packaging and eat the cheese soon after opening, as the producer recommends. If the cheese tastes saltier than you like, a short rinse under cold water will help.
