Koç Geleneksel Sucuk is the traditional, fully spiced and hot version of Turkish garlic sausage from Koç vleeswaren, a Dutch producer of Turkish meat products since 1978. The 300 g green tray shows a ring and a short link of sausage under the words “Geleneksel Sucuk – Acılı, Tam Baharatlı”, and the pack carries the ECC halal mark and the Dutch EG NL 687 approval code. The label lists about 410 kcal and 32 g of fat per 100 g of the uncooked sausage.
Cook it the Turkish way: cut it into thin slices and fry them without added oil until crisp at the edges, then serve with fried eggs, fresh tomatoes, olives and bread for a hearty breakfast. It also belongs in toasted sandwiches, on pide and pizza, or simmered with white beans and rice dishes, where its spices and garlic flavour the whole pot. Its heat is noticeable, so pair it with cucumber, tomato or yoghurt if you want to balance it.
Keep it chilled between +2 °C and +7 °C as shown on the pack, and cook it before eating. After opening, wrap it tightly and use it before the date printed on the tray.
