Description

Haribo Worms, called Solucan on the Turkish pack, are long, soft gummy sweets in a mix of red, orange, yellow and green with fruity flavours such as strawberry, orange, lemon, raspberry and pineapple. The 80 g pouch carries a halal badge on the front.

The worm shape makes them a favourite with children, and they are as popular for pranks and party games as for eating. Serve them in a bowl for a birthday, put a few on a dessert plate, or use them to decorate a 'dirt cake' of crushed biscuits and chocolate. For adults they are simply a chewy, fruity pick-me-up with a cup of tea.

The recipe uses beef gelatine, so it is not suitable for vegetarians or vegans, and the label notes possible traces of milk and wheat. Close the pouch tightly after opening and keep it in a cool, dry place away from heat and direct sunlight to stop the gummies drying out or sticking together.
