Description

Eti Karam Gurme is a dark chocolate wafer for people who like their sweets on the bittersweet side. Thin, crisp wafer sheets are layered with a cocoa cream and finished with a dark chocolate coating; the Turkish label information gives the cream as about two thirds of the bar and the dark chocolate as just over a quarter.

The bar is sized for a single sitting, so it suits an afternoon coffee break, a pause at the office or a car journey. It pairs particularly well with unsweetened Turkish coffee, espresso or a strong black tea, where the bitterness of the cocoa is balanced by the sweetness of the cream. You can also chop it over vanilla ice cream or fold the pieces into a warm milk pudding.
