Description

Paşam Parmak Sucuk is a Turkish-style garlic sausage (sucuk) from Efepaşa, made by Egetürk in Cologne from 100% beef. The 1 kg tray holds six finger-shaped twin sausages and carries a halal mark. According to the label, the sausage is made from beef, beef fat, salt and spices, together with dextrose, maltodextrin, antioxidant E301, flavour enhancer E621, preservative E250, citric acid, spice extract and a ripening culture. The manufacturer highlights the traditional Turkish slow drying process and lists the product as gluten-free and lactose-free.

Sucuk is the backbone of the Turkish breakfast and grill table. Peel off the inedible casing, slice the sausage into coins and fry them in their own fat until crisp at the edges, then crack eggs over the pan for the classic sucuklu yumurta.
