Barilla Fusilli No. 98 is a classic short pasta shaped in tight spirals. According to retailer labelling it is made from only two ingredients, durum wheat semolina and water, and it is produced in Italy by Barilla. The twisted shape holds thick sauces in its grooves, which makes it a dependable choice for everyday cooking.
Bring plenty of salted water to a fast boil, add the pasta and cook for about 11 minutes, stirring now and then, then drain. In a Turkish kitchen fusilli works well in a cold pasta salad with peppers, olives, sweetcorn and a lemon and olive oil dressing, in a baked pasta with minced meat or white cheese, or tossed with a quick tomato and pepper paste sauce, garlic yoghurt or sautéed vegetables.
The retailer label lists wheat (gluten) as an allergen and says the product may contain traces of soya and mustard.
