Burcu Zeytinyağlı Yaprak Sarma is the olive-oil style of stuffed vine leaves, packed in a 200 g aluminium tray. The ingredient list we found names rice, onion, water, olive oil, vine leaves, salt, tomato paste, currants, mint, parsley, black pepper and lemon juice, and the front of the pack states that it contains no preservatives (koruyucu içermez). The packaging of this product has changed over time, so check the label on your tray for the current ingredients.
"Zeytinyağlı" means cooked with olive oil, and dishes in this style are traditionally enjoyed cold or at room temperature. If you prefer it warm, the pack says it is ready in three minutes: heat it as directed on the label, then serve it with a wedge of lemon and a spoonful of thick yoghurt. It also sits well on a meze table alongside hummus, olives, white cheese and warm flatbread.
Follow the storage and date information printed on the pack. Once opened, move any leftovers to a covered container, keep them in the refrigerator and eat them soon.
